On behalf of the faculty and staff, welcome to the new year at All Saints Catholic School! Tomorrow we gather for Orientation beginning at 9:00 a.m. for new families with returning families starting to arrive at 9:30 a.m. Middle school parents are invited to review the article entitled Parents of Rising 6th Graders & New Middle School Students. The article provides links that detail which items students should bring to Orientation and the first day of school as well as tips for organizing materials.
All families are cordially invited to attend the Welcome Back Barbecue beginning at 5:30 tomorrow evening behind the school. Hosted by the PTO as a community-builder at the start of the new year, the food is provided free of charge to all of our families. Parents need only bring blankets, chairs and soft drinks.
I would like to take this opportunity to also provide you with an update regarding the recent earthquake. Our maintenance team has completed a site inspection, giving particular attention to mechanical operations and utility connections. I am pleased to report that there is no evidence of any damage to our school facility. So as to ensure the safety of our students, the teachers have reviewed our earthquake response plan and will be providing guidance to the students in an age-appropriate manner during the opening days of school.
Finally, I’ve below is a link to our marketing poster for the start of the new year that serves as a beautiful reminder of the core mission of our school…that all may be saints! Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and at the BBQ!
