The Sentinel - Volume 8, Issue 2

Posted Wednesday, September 5, 2007

In just three days we will gather to celebrate the legacy of All Saints Catholic School, a fifty year tradition of academic excellence & dynamic faith formation. The anniversary year will officially begin with the celebration of Mass by Bishop Paul S. Loverde and be followed by a dedication ceremony in the front of the school. Honored guests will include representatives from the Office of Catholic Schools, local dignitaries and officials, former principals and representatives from the Benedictine Sisters community. It will provide students and parents, past and present, an opportunity to celebrate the goodness and blessings of our parish school through the course of the past five decades.

All school families are cordially invited to attend and participate in the events. Students from the 7th & 8th grade will be serve as an “honor guard” while others will be assisting with music and various aspects of the liturgy and reception. On this special occasion, I encourage all of our students to proudly wear their summer uniform so that they may easily be recognized as members of the current generation of “saints”.

Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and be followed by a ceremony in front of the new school wing. A catered reception will take place in the gym where there will be historical displays of our school through the years. Additionally, tours will be available for visitors and guests.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the festivities! Happy Annivesary!
