Foreign Language Grading Scale

In accordance with diocesan policy, All Saints implemented the following foreign language grading scale several years ago. (Please note: Students in grades four through eight receive a numerical grade as well as an effort grade.)

Grades 1-3

The following code, which coincides with other subjects that require an effort grade, is used:

1 – Outstanding

2 – Very Good

3 – Satisfactory/Good

4 – Improvement Needed

5 – Unsatisfactory

Grades 4-8

The grading scale for Academic Progress, which coincides with the academic portion of the report card, is used. Students will receive a numerical grade as well as an effort grade. Effort grades are designated as follows:

1 – Outstanding

2 – Above Average

3 – Average

4 – Below Average

5 – Unsatisfactory
