The Casino Night and Auction is being held this year on Saturday, November 21st at Heritage Hunt Golf Club in Gainesville, and is advertised as a “fun night out” without children. There are real casino tables set up, but “gambling” is done with fake money, which is turned in for tickets used for prize drawings. The evening also features a:
- Live Auction – auction items include small group outings with teachers, First in Carpool, small vacation packages, etc., all emceed by school celebrities.
- Silent Auction – includes tickets to ball games, jewelry, toys, sports memorabilia, etc.
- Themed Class Baskets – prepared by each classroom around a central theme. Past themes have included Wine and Chocolate, Christmas, Kitchen and Baking, Night at the Movies, Gift Cards Galore, etc. The baskets are set up for display and a silent auction is held to determine the highest bidder.
- Heads and Tails Game – purchase a string of Mardi-Gras beads and choose Heads (place your hands on your head) or Tails (place your hands on your tail). If you are correct at the roll of the dice, you continue playing; if not, the string of beads is removed and your turn is over. The winner gets a large prize – the more beads you have, the better your chances of winning!
Plan to attend the Casino Night and Auction to enjoy a fun night out with the All Saints community, and possibly do some Christmas shopping!
Attention all school families- the auction committee is now collecting items from families for the Casino Night silent auction. Keep us in mind when you do your fall cleaning! We’ll take all new items; toys, puzzles, candles, movies, home goods. Or if you have a home business and would like to put together a basket of items or donate an item please call Siobhan Tabor 703-475-6002 or siobhan.tabor@comcast.net. Your business will receive a lot of recognition and hopefully your tax deductible donation will pay off for both you and our school!
