Q&A

Q:        Casino?  I’ve never played cards before, will I be able to participate?

A:        Absolutely, the casino is a mix of black jack, poker, roulette and other games all played with funny money.  Your admission price includes funny money to get you playing.  The dealers are very helpful and will teach you any of the games you are not familiar with.  At the end of the evening you can cash in your chips for raffle tickets for some great prizes including: Reserved Pew for the Easter Mass of your Choice, a Kindle, an iPod/iPad Speaker Dock, Custom-made Valentine’s and Easter Wreaths, a Gas Grill, and  1st in Line for Carpool (must be present to win).  The casino starts at 6:45 so come on time to optimize your playing time!

Q:        Silent Auction????  I’m not good at being quiet for long periods of time, especially around other All Saints parents, what’s the expectation?

A:        Silent, in a MULTIPLE MEANING WORD type of way!  The silent auction is an opportunity for you to bid on donated items on bid sheets.  Generally, bids start at zero and go up in increments of $5.  At the end of a nearly 3 hour period, the highest bidder wins the item; of course after they pay the amount they bid.

Q:        How is the Live Auction different & what are the raffles?

A:        The live Auction will take place towards the end of the evening.  It is complete with entertaining auctioneers and bid numbers on “paddles”.  You can use your bid number to try and win items such as a weekend away, sports memorabilia or on an outing for your child with his/her teacher.  The raffles will also be drawn during the live auction; raffle includes an Kindle, Gas Grill and a 50/50 raffle.

Q:        Where and what do I wear?

A:        The Casino Night & Auction will be held at the Portuguese Community Center, which is located seconds from the All Saints Campus.  Proceed North on Route 28 and make a right, at the light, Lee Avenue where the new townhouses are being built caddie-corner to All Saints.  The PCC is behind the new townhomes.  As far as attire: Sunday, business or business casual is appropriate.

Q:        The ticket order form and raffle tickets have been lost forever in my child’s backpack, what do I do now?

A:        Please print a Casino Night & Auction Ticket Order Form and return it to your child’s teacher.  Event tickets are $25 per person or $30 at the door. You can also pick-up additional raffle tickets through the school office or by sending send an email to allsaintspto@gmail.com.
