All Saints Band
Students in grades 4-8 may receive instrumental lessons through the diocesan band program. Additional fees for participation in the band are arranged through this program. The school band competes in the annual diocesan band festival, the “music in the park” festival program, and performs an annual winter and spring concert.
Band Shirt Exchange Program
We are announcing the next Band Shirt Exchange! This is similar to the existing All Saints Uniform Exchange Program.
What:
- Anyone can donate a band shirt in good condition. (Clean, no stains, tears, missing buttons, etc.) These are the band shirts with logos, not the white uniform shirts worn by some Beginning Band members.
- People can trade one band shirt for another one.
- If someone wants a band shirt and does not have a shirt to trade, they may purchase one for $5. (Most of these shirts are only worn a few times before they are outgrown, unlike the daily school uniforms which are worn on a daily basis before they are outgrown. Therefore, in theory, most will be in better condition than the daily uniforms.)
- All proceeds will go towards the band trip. Every little bit helps!
- New band shirts will still be ordered at the beginning of each school year.
- This year there will be one final band shirt order. All orders are due to the school office by Thurs, 2/25/10. Shirts will arrive in time for the Band Festival in March.
- All band parents will receive an email with the order form by 2/12/10.
When:
- The next Band Shirt Exchange will be held at:
- PTO Meeting, Mon, 2/22/10
- Other Band Shirt Exchanges are tentatively planned for:
- Orientation Day
- Band Parents Night
- Some PTO Meetings
- Watch for actual dates in The Sentinel
Where:
- Watch for additional information in The Sentinel
Benefits:
- This will help reduce costs for band parents.
- Recycle, reuse!
Please be patient as we ramp up – we are just beginning this program, so shirts may be limited at the beginning! (This program just began in Spring 2009.)
